similar to 50th Anniversary Blackhawk, except has "50 YEARS OF .44 MAGNUM 1956-2006" rollmarked on barrel, hard rubber style grips with black medallions. Mfg. 2006 only.
Note that production of the .44 Mag. model initially began in Ruger's Newport, New Hampshire facility and these were rollmarked with an 89- prefix serial number up to ser. no. 89-05067 (89-00001 through 89-00500 were not produced in 2006 with the block of 500 guns being produced at a later date as Super Blackhawk models instead of flattop framed Blackhawks). Approximately 1,200 of the last 89- prefixed cylinder frames were transferred to Ruger's Prescott, Arizona facility for completion. All new 50th Anniversary .44 Blackhawk production at Prescott then received an 870- prefix serial number. All Prescott production of this model has the "WARNING" statement located on the bottom of the barrel.
