Model 1877 Bulldog Description
.45-70 cal., gravity-fed magazine, 18 in. barrels, (5 barrels standard), oval bronze plate on breech embossed with Colt and Gatling patent marking, serial number on casing near right trunnion. This gun is a popular and highly regarded gun, widely sold in America, Europe, and Asia. This is the first production Gatling having encased breech and barrels as a standard feature. Crank located at back, not at side as in predecessor arms, and operated directly on the main shaft. High rate of fire-1,000 rounds-per-minute, 90 lbs. (without mounts).
